Our focus in breeding is to the SV (German) standard. We are a small hobby breeder and and our goal is to produce quality not quantity. Our dogs are bred for natural family protection, health, structure, strong nerves, clear in the head, strong bone, confidence, intelligence, capability and of course beauty. We breed within the standard of the breed to carry on the traits of what the german shepherd was originally designed and bred to do. Every breeding is well thought out and we will never compromise quality! Our lines are the West German Show Lines that work!

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH A NEW A PUPPY Bringing a German Shepherd Puppy into your home is exciting and a lot of work! Think of it as having a new born baby at home! Just like a baby you can't just leave them unattended in the home. It takes planning and preparation. With the use of tools such as crates, playpens and collars & leashes, you retain control in the home to provide a safe environment for your puppy to learn and grow. DO NOT isolate your dog. If you want an amazing dog from the puppy you are bringing home there is training and SOCIALIZATION to the world to do. Everything is new to your puppy. We do so much beginning socialization for your puppy but that's just the beginning. It's your job to build on what we have started. You must plan to train and socialize your puppy. The German Shepherd must be heavily socialized when they are young. Check out the youtube video on socialization under the TRAINING Tab here on our site. Your dog should live with you or your family, not just in your backyard. They are social animals and want to be with their people. Males tend to have a little more independence than females. You must be willing to work with your puppy daily on regular daily activities. Because of their intelligence they learn extremely quickly however, they can also get bored easily if they don't get exercise and mental stimulation. If you want your AMAZING puppy to become an AMAZING adult you MUST plan to do a puppy class and basic obedience class, at a minimum! So you already know how to train a puppy? We still do the basic puppy classes with our own personal puppies and we know how to train our puppies too! We do it because they offer the socialization exposure to so many basic things that we can't possibly get here at home alone. Every class you go to exposes your puppy to new experiences to people, places, cars, birds, noises etc. You can start Basic Puppy classes when your puppy has had his 2nd vaccination. This is also a great opportunity for you and your puppy to bond with each other. These classes provide CRITICAL socialization at a CRITICAL IMPRINT time in group settings and not only teach you to train and offer some BASIC socialization for your puppy but they teach or refresh skills you may already know. This simple task will teach you to be a better life long trainer of your puppy with positive stimulation. You will be amazed on the difference of a puppy that goes through these two simple classes and the puppy that doesn't. Timing is critical! Classes are typically once a week for an hour and a couple 10 - 15 minutes each day working on what you learned. That's not too much time to ask of you to spend working with your puppy. If it is, DON'T GET A PUPPY! Don't like public classes? Do private classes OR call a trainer and have them do it for you. You will miss out on the most important aspect of socialization to so many people and their pets with the private lessons but, it's better than nothing! You CAN'T wait until 4 months old, after your puppy is fully vaccinated but, you must also use discretion. It's easier to teach positive behaviours while they are young than it is to correct negative behaviours because of lack of socialization and training. Most puppy classes, from reputable trainers will require all puppies to have at least 2 vaccinations on board before starting puppy classes. You have invested a lot of money on your new puppy. You will be investing a lot more money and time into your new puppy. These classes are cheap but priceless! Everything in the world to them is new. It's your job to get out there and share it with them so you have a well balanced, well behaved dog as an adult. The results of these two basic classes provide so much reward for you and your dog learning the basics and will carry with them through their ENTIRE LIFE! These are amazing dogs and don't ask alot from us but give so much back in return. If you can't make a commitment to your socialization and training, provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation of a German Shepherd Puppy PLEASE consider an alternative breed.
What we DON'T DO is breed oversized dogs that are prone to joint problems. We don't breed for all White (which are at risk of being deaf in one or both ears) or All Black Dogs. We don't breed the "Working Lines" although amazing animals, the working dogs typically don't fit into most family homes due to the super high drives.
See our new page on our site called Socialization for more ideas on how to socialize your puppy.
